Whats the basis?

What is the basis for the love stories? The romance novels? The stereotypical "chick flick"?

Does such a love exist? Can you really lock eyes with someone and feel that instant mutual attraction? Is it possible to spend a day with someone and each tell your respective friends that is the man/woman you are going to marry?

What is the basis for fairy tales? A true love unrequited, or just a hope and wish for something more?

Western culture exploits romantic love. It is possible. But our society pushes the idea that all relationships are supposed to stay like that for the duration.
Romantic love is the first phase of love, but all noted psychologists agree that it only lasts between 6 months to 2 years (at the MOST!). From there you move to a more comfortable love, the kind where you can fart in front of each other and not be horrified.
When we lose the butterflies and excited feelings, we feel let down. It's not failure, it's normal. But too many people tend to bail out when it happens. Sad.

Geez, Jewels. I'm leaving LONG comments!!
